Urban Tales takes you through the streets of Lisbon on an exploration punctuated by stories, questions and puzzles. From emblematic neighbourhoods to quieter streets, you’ll discover a city full of details, anecdotes and traces of the past.
Here, it isn’t enough to simply look. A façade, an inscription, a statue or an architectural detail can all become clues. The questions push you to observe, to make connections and sometimes to be wary of the obvious. Some puzzles are simple, others will ask a little more thought from you.
As the route unfolds, Lisbon also reveals itself through several centuries of history: Arab and ancient heritage, the 1755 earthquake, and even that surprising period when, during the Second World War, the city became a real hotbed of spies.
